Stella Downer Fine Art specialises in contemporary Australian artists working across many mediums. Australian Pacific Art represents contemporary Aboriginal art from around Australia. Following 12 years located at the 2 Dank St the two galleries relocated in 2017 and now share a shop-front and foyer at the entry to their exhibition spaces in Waterloo.
The signage is modest and simple, to acknowledge the scale of the galleries and context of the residential neighbourhood. It is neutral in colour, and not individually branded, as a backdrop to the artworks displayed within the space. Working with the sunny location and existing street lighting to create strong shadowing, moving across the interior walls during the day and night.
