Pittwater House offers single sex classes in a co-educational environment, across a campus comprising an early childhood centre, through a number of primary to secondary learning spaces.
Working with Neeson Murcutt Neille’s strategic masterplan & key new buildings, MAAT were engaged to deliver a consolidated wayfinding strategy across the site. The new work addresses the vehicular and pedestrian shareway, and new ‘verandah’ circulation, as well as integrating with the existing facilities.
The design approach incorporates the shapes of the boys & girls school crests, to create a playful edge detail with a story unique to the PHS pedagogy. It responds to the light & movement of the schools’ coastal site, with new mapping designs highlighting the significant ‘landscape spines’ through the site.
