A mixed-use place in the heart of Penrith, containing an open multipurpose public room, a 2500sqm rooftop garden park, public carparking and 6000sqm of Grade-A office space; the precinct development has been driven by a Design Excellence Competition, won by Durbach Block Jaggers with Sue Barnsley Design.
MAAT worked with Penrith City Council and the design team to create a graphic language responding to the architecture, landscape approach and biophilic principles. Supergraphics act as placemaking for the new precinct, as well as circulation landmarks throughout the multi-level carpark and public spaces.
The wayfinding graphics support and extend the vision for Soper Place as a key arrival point to Penrith City Centre, a place of wellbeing and climate respite, cultural activation, community connection, and commercial activity.
