Uniting offers a broad range of aged care, disability, early learning and Aboriginal services to communities across NSW and ACT. They approach RE agency with a goal to increase their brand awareness in the competitive marketplace.
Aligned with the brand work by RE, MAAT was engaged to design a signage system that would create a visible presence and celebrate Uniting brand values.
MAAT prepared a wayfinding strategy to enhance the customer experience and developed and documented a signage system that responded to key user groups across the Uniting aged care, dementia care, over 55’s, child care, family support services and administration portfolio.
Responding to needs at the dementia care sites signage was purpose designed to assist residents using a selected colour palette, typography and memorable pictogram shapes. As the system is implemented across other parts of the portfolio pictograms are standardised, and colour responds to each sector. Documented into a sign manual it is being rolled out across 250 sites in NSW and ACT.
