The Victoria Cross Integrated Station development is a key destination in the largest public transport infrastructure project in Australia, creating an opportunity to revitalise the North Sydney CBD. MAAT joined the Grimshaw Architects team on the John Holland and Charter Hall JV bid.
Our focus was to develop the customer experience across the multi-entry station, public realm, over-station development, in the context of the adjacent NSYD precinct undergoing growth and renewal; Opportunities were sought throughout the station environment to enliven the passenger experience, develop a narrative specific to the North Sydney location and provide legible wayfinding integrated with the station environment, to deliver an inclusive destination for North Sydney supported by a world class metro station.
